To be fair, not everyone is familiar with the weird rituals of the RCC. Brilliantly funny that he felt the need to parade his ignorance for all to see though.
I was taught it at school.
I think that I probably learned about it by watching the news during a previous Pope pick.
Religious Education lessons weren’t entirely wasted on me.
Luckily, I watched ‘Conclave’ Hopefully, someone sent Lammy complimentary tickets for the premier ?
Perhaps rainbow smoke to indicate the next Pope has been chosen?
Might be nice if they chose an actual Catholic this time.
The BBC tips one Italian, one Filipino and two Africans. I’ve no idea if any of them are Catholics however.
Will be mildly interesting to follow the developments in respect of gay marriage/contraception/women priests on the basis that I’m none too sure on the views of the African Church on these matters (there I go assuming there will be a black Pope).
