So the Judean People’s Front has indeed split from the People’s Front of Judea.
Jeremy Corbyn has broken his silence on the new left-wing political party announced by ex-Labour MP Zarah Sultana, confirming that “discussions are ongoing” about the party’s formation.
On Thursday evening, Ms Sultana – a former Labour MP – said she would co-lead the new movement with Mr Corbyn, hitting out at the government for having “completely failed to improve people’s lives”.
But the ex-Labour leader initially failed to comment, sparking rumours he had not fully committed to join.
Of course, the reaction to this has been hilariously predictable, so much so that Monty Python were way ahead of it, by about fifty years.
Zarah Sultana has never been true Labour. She was an entryist who stayed for too long.
Off she trots with Corbyn as they form an irrelevant leftist fringe party.
Please take the others with you on the way out! https://t.co/xTEmfOgH8u

I guess puns are your raisin d’etre.
Irrelevant person joining another irrelevant person in mutual love in. No story, move along please.
BTW Mark, I did get it.
Corbyn and Sultana? There’s a joke there somewhere about raisins, but can’t be arsed.
Something about fruit and nut being at home with fruitcakes?
(Not original – it was in a comment in the Telegraph this morning.)
Socialism is failing to improve people’s lives, obviously it isn’t being socialist enough. Have I got that right? Maybe instead the government could improve people’s lives by not stealing half of their incomes and pissing it away on stuff nobody asked for.
But if the new Judean People’s Front can gather together the disenchanted leftish Labour, the established Islamist groupings plus a number of the Greens who are really commies in eco-disguise, then it’s not impossible for it to become 4th biggest party.
If the right splits as predicted, with Reform UK taking many Tory votes plus many in the Red Wall areas, then we will almost certainly be heading for messy coalition territory, like most of the other banana republics of Europe.
We may superficially welcome the Judean split, but in politics be careful what you wish for.
This time it will be different.
Not.
Most likely to become The Islamic People’s Front.
Not Reform, not Restore, but Submission.
Who remembers the Gang Of Four who split from the Labour Party when they decided that it had drifted too far to the left? They formed the Social Democrats Party if I remember correctly, eventually merged with the Liberals and marched boldly together towards irrelevance.
I don’t see this lot merging with LibDems. If anything, I suspect they will grow the Islamist vote. Jezza will be ousted in fairly short order.
Well the Gof4 split because they thought Labour was too far left, this lot don’t think Labour are left enough. presumably Corbyn thinks that Starmer is practically Thatcher.
There are plenty of leftists who do.
Worse. Corbyn thinks that Starmer is practically Blair.
