Well the day could have been busier, but we spent much of the time talking to potential clients. We will see whether it has borne fruit in the months to come.
One conspicuous absence was Network Rail. During my tenure at headquarters we always had a stand at Railtex. It may just be an impression, but Network Rail seems to be suffering from overweening corporate arrogance – arrogance that sees it as setting itself aside from the rest of the rail industry. This is not healthy either for the organisation or the industry as a whole.
