The guys over at No2ID have started an online petition. Now while they and I have no illusions about the effectiveness of petitions in that governments are usually unlikely to act upon them, if enough people sign up, HMG will have to put it on the government website and respond. Also, it will highlight growing dissatisfaction with Big Blunkett and his solution that is forever seeking a problem.
