Fortunately, the Google bots managed to archive my blog before it all went tits-up. The outcome is that I’ve managed a 100% recovery. Although the problem was mostly my fault in the first place, I’m feeling pretty smug that I managed to get it all back – even if it was a massive headache in the process.

Grandes nouvelles ! Je suis heureux vous pouvais récupérer tout. Nice une. Ok, plus de Français que je promets lbhh
Nice spot of Franglais, there. Jaques Chirac won’t be best pleased…
I used a translator and by your use of the term Franglais, not a great one at that lbhh
“Nice une” is a bit of a give-away… I’d expect at the least “bien”, “bon” or “tres bien”. The French do sometimes use OK, but are more likely to use “d’accord”. If you do a literal translation of those terms you’ll get “very well” and “of agreement” – yet they are used more loosely than that in practice.
That’s the trouble with translation – often there is no literal translation, just a sense of the meaning. The best way is to think in the foreign language and not to translate. 😉
Well, in that case, I can say ‘the cat and the dog are in the swimming pool’ but what use is that?
None whatsoever…. lbhh
Unless the cat and the dog are in the swimming pool.
I don’t have a dog. Well not now anyway, it drowned.
