A rail company chief executive has risked the wrath of London commuters by insisting that it is “unreasonable to expect everybody to get a seat” on rush-hour rail services into the capital.
Keith Ludeman, the £325,000 head of Go-Ahead, the rail, bus and airport support services group, added that trains were “designed for people to stand”.
