Some People…

Can’t read.

I received this today:

Hi there,

Congrats on getting longrider.co.uk off the ground. Starting a website is no small task, and when you’re in the growth stage we know it can be tedious, time consuming, and oftentimes lonely.

Have you considered working with Google partners to start generating ad revenue and improve site delivery? Ezoic is a Google Certified Publishing Partner, and an end-to-end ad partner providing monetization, and tools to improve your CWV, SEO, performance, privacy, & more.

While most Google partners require sites to reach a traffic threshold before working with them, Ezoic believes all publishers, no matter how new or small, should have access to the same technology as big publishers. To help young publishers succeed we’ve created a program called Access Now that teaches publishers how to use Ezoic’s technology to monetize and optimize their site.

Ready to take longrider.co.uk to the next level? Join Access Now at no cost with no contracts.

Cheers,
Keith

I presume that Keith, if he has read this blog, would have quickly realised that it is not new, having been around for nearly two decades. In all of that time, I have not monetised it and have never had any desire to improve my SEO, nor do I wish to have anything at all to do with Google. Also, if he has read it, he would have got my email from my contacts page, where it specifically says that I am not interested in any such overtures. So, either Keith is some kind of bot, he cannot read, or he chose to ignore my instructions. Either way, he is now blocked and I will not be taking up his offer.

  1. I like the informal tone.
    Hi there,
    cheers, Keith

Obviously the approach to take when you’re cold calling/ fishing for business.

Its “Hey, psst, wanna buy a stereo?” levels of professionalism.

  2. I get about six of these spam messages every week. Straight to spam bin. Ignore, delete. Especially the ones from ‘Happiness engineers’, who I hope will be the first bunch of jerks up against the wall when the revolution comes.
