Apparently café owners are unhappy with WiFi users loitering over their coffees, according to Sarah Allen.
Some of them are putting a stop to it:
coffeehouse owners are now limiting Wi-Fi access, blocking electrical outlets or simply banning the use of laptops in their shops altogether.
An obvious thought went through my mind, but Allen got in there first:
It’s the café owner’s prerogative of course.
As commenter Greenlake observes:
It’s the café owner’s prerogative of course.
Says it all, doesn’t it?
Yup. Does indeed.
So the point was?
Says it all, doesn’t it?
I mean, how VERY dare they?
Atually, there is some great comedy further down:
“forget wi-fi piggybacking. Old-fashioned physical shoplifting is far more bracing.”
Brilliant.
I knew I was going to regret reading this post, despite your clear warning that it was pointless. But I couldn’t resist …
