Kiya is one of our younger cats – one of last year’s kittens. She has matured into a rather snooty long haired queen. Here she is, surveying the world from the window sill. It beats going out in the snow, anyway…

Did it snow in France as well? Crikey.
Yup, we’ve been getting the same weather front. I’ve had to delay my trip back to the UK.
“Did it snow in France as well? Crikey.”
And not just in France, but in Languedoc!
OK, I’ve seen snow lying on Mont Aigoual in April, but that’s 1567m above sea level. How often do you get snow at your level?

We’re 800m above sea level so we get snow every winter. Last year there were about four falls. This one was the second this year. We might get some more in February. Usually it goes pretty quickly. This year it’s been hanging about for a week. So bad has it been this time, I got stuck in a snow drift last Saturday and a local farmer had to use his tractor to rescue us and the car behind us. That’s unusual.
Interesting.
I hadn’t realised that you were so high up, but then I seem to remember that you are up on the Causse, so I guess I should have realised.
