The poppies are out again, so I thought another venture out with the camera was in order.

What lovely photographs – thank you – Monet would have been proud!
Thankyou. I would like to think so – Monet is one of my favourites.
Wow! What a beautiful sight.
Beautiful photo’s and is that a wild Geranium in the foreground of the second one ?
I wasn’t too sure, but you could be right.
Yup, I think it really is a ‘proper’ geranium.
Absolutely stunning photo – the top one especially. Would make a good Windows background.
Smashing.
Lovely, but my overall impression of Monet is that he did not do these extreme depth of field thingies, either he painted stuff near him, a bit further away or a long way away. He wouldn’t paint a flower in the foreground with mountains a mile away in the background.
That would be Cezanne who sometimes did that (e.g. the trees that bend round that mountain).
The title referred primarily to the first image – and my first impression when walking along the road.
Alas, they’ve mowed it all, so the scene is no longer there…
You’re quite right – it is a touch of Monet.
