Got a phone call this afternoon. They want me in on Sunday. It’s an early start and a long trip, but it’s a beginning. Then another call asking me to do an assessment next month for another client. Again, it’s a start. Looks like I’m signing off when I go into the Job Centre this week. For the first time in months, my mood is upbeat. Sure it’s a few small shoots of green after a dry spell, but it’s amazing how just that small glimmer of hope and the confidence of someone prepared to put work one’s way changes one’s outlook. It looks as if the job hunting will go on the back burner and I can return to my preferred status as a self-employed consultant, as the company I’ll be doing most of the work for is happy to pay me on that basis.
If things pan out, I’m taking the French house off the market. I’ll give it a few weeks before making a final decision on that one, but I’m hopeful.
That is good news LR,hope the year keeps going well for yourself and your good lady.
All the best

Good news – here’s hoping it keeps up!
Excellent news, LR. I hope you are able to take the French house off the market. What do the cats think about it all?
Great news. Good luck with the new project, and wishing you a regular flow of your preferred work.
Providing they have a warm bed and food on demand, they are content. 😉
Good luck!
Good for you LR, I hope you can keep the chateau.
Great news, and I hope it keeps coming…
Thankyou all. It’s amazing how, after around nine months of unemployment, my mood has dramatically lifted.
Bite the bullet LR – take it off the market first thing in the morning!
