Sad news, definitely. I tweeted that it was probably Anderson more than any other who incubated my love of different forms of transport when I was young.

Right at this moment I have a Terrahawks disc ready to play, he shied away from this series and it perhaps is not as good as his earlier more famous ones but there is still his unmistakable mark in there. Oh and U.F.O. is next after that. R.I.P. Gerry Anderson, you gave my childhood excitement, wonder and hope and my adult life a fascination in mechanical engineering.
