Er, That’s What Islam Is…

Andrew Brown, leftist apologist for Islam is blaming the Saudi influence for extreme behaviour.

A visiting Saudi cleric issued a fatwa, from the Green Lane mosque in Birmingham, that supported his enemies in the congregation: not only did it explain that anyone who denied creationism was an apostate, who could (and should, in an ideal state) be killed, but that his support for women going bareheaded if they wished, and for a secular form of government, were also sufficient grounds for a death sentence.

Since these judgments were circulated in jihadi circles, Hasan and his family were in real danger as a result and were granted police protection for a while.

This is shocking enough as an example of what Saudi influence on British Islam can lead to.

Well, in one respect, he is correct – it is what the Saudi Wahhabi influence has done. However, the Wahhabis are merely following the teaching of their vile prophet. It is the moderates who are straying from the true path, not the fundamentalists. Islam is a violent cult that converts by sword-point and subjugates everything before it – the clue is in the word; Islam means to submit. And you will submit, by force if necessary or die. That’s what it is all about. In talking about evolution, for example, Usama Hasan is a heretic and the teachings of Islam are pretty clear – the punishment is death. If Andrew Brown is shocked by this (shocked, I tell you, shocked) then he hasn’t been paying attention. Mohammed was not a nice cuddly cove who loved children (well, actually, some children he loved a little too much… ahem), but rather, he was a bloodthirsty warlord who murdered those in his path and made up a religion as a means of developing his power base. Charlatans have been doing this since time immemorial.

Islam is not a nice friendly religion that promotes peace and love, it promotes violent death and subjugation and it is useful idiot like Brown who have led to the problems we have with it now.

I’d like to believe that visiting preachers are now rather more careful about what they say in public. But in the absence of hard evidence either way I will maintain an attitude of suspicion. Wahhabi Islam really is a loathsome and dangerous ideology.

There, corrected that for you.

So the savages don’t need to have a good hard look at their barbaric beliefs, they just need to learn to keep their mouths shut…

Well, I suppose there’s no better teacher than the left when it comes to getting acceptance of an idea that’s the complete opposite to the truth.

Which is the basis for all progressive-lead ‘speech codes’, isn’t it?

  2. If you consult your Smite-ometer, the Old Testament registers as more vicious than the Koran.
As they say, correctly, a good man will act on the good, kindly bits from his religious text whichever it is; a lunatic knob-end will select the smiting sections.

  3. I would broadly agree with that post. I don’t think there is a more fucked-up religion on the planet.

I traversed (east to west & v/v) Iran several times back in the late 60s, and having started out with no preconceptions or prejudices my experiences in that country inexorably led me to the same conclusions as you. However, I have to add the rider that one of the tenets of Islam (although not always adhered to) is that of offering hospitality to strangers, and in amongst all the shit, I encountered some quite staggering acts of kindness.

  4. NOT true of the Sufi, or the Ismaili sects, which are very “quietist” in their traditions.
Yes, they are religious loonies, but they are harmless loonies.
Islam is 622 years behind christianity & it shows.
Report on BBC radio this morning about Sunni jihadists going to Syria – to kill Shia muslims … sound familar?
Sound like the European wars of religion or the 30 years war?
    You bet.
