I’ll Do…

What I always do.

The coronation of King Charles III this year will see a resplendent crowning in London, a dazzling concert and street parties across the UK as the new monarch seeks to portray himself as ‘the people’s King’.

The official crowning will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey where His Majesty will shun royal garb in favour of military clothing, in a bid to update the ceremony.

I’ll quietly ignore it and go about my business as usual.

Britons are encouraged to hold street parties and take part in the Big Lunch.

No.

Members of the public are encouraged to spend time volunteering for charity as part of the Big Help Out.

No. I don’t take kindly to being encouraged to do anything. My immediate response is to dig my heels in and refuse. So, yeah, I’ll just ignore the whole thing.

  1. Out here in Oregon’s high desert country, and If I can remember it on the big day, I will mark the occasion with a mug of clam chowder, and a tuna sandwich. No disrespect to Charles mind you, but with Biden in the big chair; that’s about all I can afford.

  2. If only he was more like his mother. His support of the woke nonsense and Islam is quite disappointing.
