You may recall this twat from a few weeks ago.
Well, I just found a follow up in my spam folder from a week or so later.
Hello,
I just wanted to follow your website www. longrider.co.uk <http://www.longrider.co.uk> regarding advertising options such as guest posting, advertising content. Could you please let me know how we can proceed with the price.
Note: the item must not be branded as sponsored or advertise or like that and we can only pay through paypal.
Cheers
Kerem Kalkanci
This guy is so good at marketing that he can’t be bothered to read the terms and conditions on my contact page that he must have gone to to get my email address and then fails to get the hint when I don’t respond.
I wonder if he is this guy? Whoever he is, he’s a twat. And no, he isn’t advertising on here. Hell would freeze over before that happens.
If that’s who it is he’s supposed to be a “developer”. My guess would be that all that went to your contacts page was a bot, that managed to parse an email address out of it. Of course it wouldn’t look for anything suggesting you might not want to deal with him; this Kerem Kalkanci that sent it is a spammer and it’s all about spamming as many people as possible, as cheaply as possible.
There’s nothing on my contacts page that can be parsed, unless it is a pretty sophisticated bot. You’d have to be a human to work out the email address, which I why I suspect a human spammer. This is backed up by the nag a week or so later.
If it was sent to webmaster that is a pretty common email and every domain is expected to have one or something like administrator, admin etc. So more than likely a bot is sending the admin, administrator, webmaster, postmaster etc. They are filthy spammers after all.
