The Abbopottomus Strikes Again

This woman is so dense, she has her own event horizon.

She claimed the Tube driver would not have been suspended if he was backing Ukraine.

The MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington said: “Tube driver who led chant of ‘free, free Palestine’ on an Underground train is suspended. Would this have happened if he was chanting “Free Ukraine” ?”

I should hope so. It doesn’t matter what the theme is, this is a misuse of the PA system, which is there for operating matters and nothing else. This is gross misconduct, regardless of the political issue.

That Abbott thinks there is something to defend tells us that she is even thicker than we thought she was.

Others believed the train driver should not have got involved at all, suggesting he should get on with his job.

Daniel Korski, David Cameron’s former deputy head of the Number 10 Policy Unit, scolded the independent MP, saying: “This isn’t about geopolitics. It’s about how Jewish Londoners feel. The idea that anyone living in London will legitimately feel frightened if a Tube driver chanted ‘Free Ukraine‘ is bonkers. But let’s stick to the basics.

“Tube drivers drive trains. They don’t impose their political views on passengers whatever they might be.”

Precisely.

  1. Technically she might possibly be correct. Yes he should be suspended whatever political message he was spouting over the train’s PA. Whether he would have been had the message been about the Ukraine is possibly open to question.

  2. Replace Tube Drivers with everything else and that is also true.

Teachers educate. They don’t impose their political views on passengers whatever they might be.

and so on. When can we look at seeing some teachers sacked?

  3. Trouble is, teachers, and leftists generally, really don’t think that this week’s flavour of “progressivism” is politics at all; they think it’s the only right and decent thing, and anyone who argues against it is an evil far-right monster. They don’t actually listen to the arguments; they don’t have to, because they already “know” they are just excuses for evil. Since most so-called Conservative MPs are part of that, no, no teachers are going to be sacked.

The way you can tell most Conservative MPs don’t really believe in conservatism is that when one of them tries to do or say anything conservative, it comes over as slightly off-centre and – frequently – pointlessly nasty.

  4. “she has her own event horizon” LR, this has to be the best quote ever. Thank you for something to remember. Brilliant, and true. How on earth did this cretin even find her way to Cambridge?
