Money Matters

Keeping track of the household finances and my business accounts is a pain at the best of times. I use MS money for the household stuff and a version of Quickbooks for the business accounts. To be fair, the business stuff is pretty straightforward and downloading statements makes the whole thing that much easier. So, too, with the household accounts. The fly in the ointment is my terminal laziness. I put the statements to one side meaning to get around to it knowing full well that the longer I put it off, the more messy the process becomes.

Over the past couple of days, I’ve been wrestling with three months worth of statements for three accounts. I know, I know, I should have listened to my inner self. The stress levels would certainly have been lower.

In three months time, I’ll be reminding myself all over again…
