Road tolls: £1.34 in the city and 2p in country

And it doesn’t threaten our privacy

Motorists could be forced to pay £1.34 to drive a mile in city centres under a version of the controversial road pricing scheme now favoured by ministers.

Given that the evil bastards still want to fit tracking systems:

“All we would need to know is what zone you were in and whether you crossed into another,” he said.

It most certainly does invade our privacy. When will they get it? It doesn’t matter whether it is by street or by zone, where and when I travel is none of their fucking business. So, this one in 1.8 million is not won over. I wonder about the rest?

  1. I saw somewhere that the price of the unit would be about £600, that would treble the value of my car !. When those cameras on big blue poles appeared first we were told that they were just for determining road usage, nothing sinister at all, don’t worry about it. And people wonder why I’m a cynical old bugger.
