The Things People Say

A colleague asked “What’s the difference between a headache and a migraine?”

“If you have to ask,” I replied, “You’ve never had one.”

“Oh, so what’s the difference, then?”

“A migraine,” I said, “feels like someone has taken a cleaver to the side of your head. You become highly photosensitive, may get numbness in the tips of your fingers and face and will suffer extreme nausea and vomiting. This can go on for up to about twelve hours.”

Pause…

“Oh, I thought it was just a bad headache… I didn’t know you got extras.”

Well, it made me smile…

Meanwhile, the computer is up and running, but it will take time to get all my settings back to normal…
