Snitch Britain – Part Umpteen

For those of you in Sussex who have nothing better to do than spy on your fellow citizens, this is the place for you.

Anti-social driving can range from careless driver behaviour to deliberate activity. It not only affects road safety but also the quality of life in local neighbourhoods. With your help Sussex Police can crackdown on this behaviour. We are grateful to you for taking a few minutes to report an anti-social driver, not all fields are mandatory.

What, I wonder are Sussex council tax payers paying their police for? If you work through the screens, you will be asked to identify the offence for which the miscreant is responsible. That, surely, is for the police to decide and dealing with offences is a matter for the police, not vigilantes and snoopers. They also ask for driver details; so you know what to do when next doors’ cat shits in your garden; shop the owner for driving in an “anti-social” manner.

No, the Sussex police is not the Stasi, but shame on them for employing their tactics. Snitching on one’s neighbours, colleagues, friends, relatives and fellow citizens is about the most anti-social behaviour imaginable.
