More Eco-Bollocks

You can always rely on the Guardainista to champion the latest eco-cockwaffle with open arms. Today, it is Khalid Diab on Ghent’s meat free days. He asks the question:

The Belgian city of Ghent has declared Thursdays meat-free days. Should cities around the world join in the vegolution?

No. The decision to eat meat, or not as the case may be, is a personal one and nothing to do with anyone else.

  1. Had an interesting discussion with a chap on the allotment today. He’s into organic growing – no pesticides, natural compost, recycle/reuse anything, built his greenhouse from reclaimed glass panels found in skips etc etc etc, and even HE reckons that global warming is a load of bollocks to try to get more tax from the proles.

I may expand on his opinions in a later blogpost.

The global warming religion is dead. It just hasn’t stopped twitching yet.

  2. I tend to use natural solutions in my garden, preferring biological pest control, for instance. I have no beef with the general idea that we should exercise good stewardship of the environment – I simply do not go along with the AGW religion and I get really pissed off by the self-righteous, sanctimonious hectoring of the righteous.
