Olympic Posters

So the news is full of these posters that are to advertise the corrupt junket that will be plaguing London next August.

The logo was bad enough –  talentless garbage that cost more than a pretty penny, but now we have “artists” lining up to give us more of the same.

I’ve looked at them and I am struggling to find words to describe the sheer lack of imagination and talent on display. These people call themselves artists –  frankly, that is gross misrepresentation. Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful. Despite the Telegraph’s description, works of art, they ain’t.

  1. Agreed they’re very poor, the only one that comes even close to being any good is Ofili’s, vaguely reminiscent of the neo-romantics of the thirties and forties, it would probably have been OK in 1948 although they’d have done it much better then.

  2. I am not, and have never professed to be an informed art critic, but I will nevertheless state an opinion, for what it’s worth.

    These just leave me cold.

    Infantile crap.

Do they pay these people to come up with this stuff?
