Greybeards No More

When my father was my age he sported a mop of salt and pepper hair. These days, it is pure white. I, on the other hand, have a slight Mallen streak if I part it a certain way. Otherwise, it remains stubbornly dark, much as it was a decade or so ago.

It seems as if I am not that unusual.

But new research indicates that those accusations could be groundless – at least for a lucky few – after scientists discovered that one in ten over-60s does not have any grey hair.

Restoria will be going bust…

  1. What little hair I have left has no grey in it at all, but my beard (a permanent three-day growth because I’m too lazy to shave daily) is liberally sprinkled with grey. The rest of my body hair (I’m sure you want to know this…) has no grey either.

I’ve often wondered about that. 😕

  2. My Dad died aged 80 earlier this year. Hardly a grey hair on him and no baldness apart from a slight thinning at the temples.

I put it down to his working as a self-employed builder until just a few weeks before the end.
