Appealing Bridger

April Jones’ killer Mark Bridger is to appeal against his whole-life sentence.

Presumably because it’s in breach of his ‘uman rights.

A cynic might observe that perhaps he should have thought about his victim’s human rights – in which case he wouldn’t be behind bars and she would still be alive to enjoy her human rights. Frankly, Bridger got the sentence he deserved and he should never be allowed out again. A whole life tariff for the despicable crime he committed was right and proper, so I agree with April’s parents – he is where he belongs and should stay there. He can come out in due course – horizontally in a box.

  1. Whilst I have a seemingly inherent aversion to capital punishment in many circumstances, I also accept that paedophilia is, by & large, incurable or unchangeable, so I can see the logic (morally and financially) of implementing it in such cases.
