Why Worry?

Life goes on.
It always has and will after we are done.
Today’s worries will one day be gone.
And tomorrow will see another rising sun.
So why worry?
Why so careworn?
Why so sorry,
And so forlorn?
Life is but the blink of the world’s ancient eye.
You and I but fleeting moments in endless time,
Today will as all before, pass by
And I’ll keep you in the stanzas of my rhyme.
And I’ll not worry,
Nor trouble about my sorrows,
I’ll not be any hurry,
For I still have you in all my tomorrows.

  1. A nice sentiment, well-expressed and timely. Thank you, Longrider and please accept my good wishes, to you and your dear ones, for Christmas and the New Year.
