The Greens show their true Marxist colours.
The Green Party of England and Wales has called for a purge of government advisors and ministers who do not share its views on climate change.
Any senior advisor refusing to accept “the scientific consensus on climate change” should be sacked, it said.
Party leader Natalie Bennett said the rule must apply to all senior advisors, including those with no responsibility for environmental issues.
So, there, in their own words you have it – vile totalitarian Marxist scum. This is supposed (nominally, at least) to be a democracy and in a democracy – even at cabinet level, differing views are voiced. Not, however in the totalitarian nightmare world that the Greens would have us inhabit. They really are evil.
Science isn’t done by consensus.
And if people always accepted the consensus, I think we’d still be living in caves.
And the world would be flat and Newton’s theory of the universe would still be accepted truth.
Has the asylum been left unlocked?
There is enough scumbags claiming it, so it must have been.
Agreed for totally opposite reasons
Climate change & a man-made component of it, is real
But, to “purge” people because they don’t accept this is not on.
After all, we ave guvmint minster crawling to religious minorities, who are not purged, in spite of the fact that it’s total cobblers, so what’s the difference.
One set of rules & law, please!
The problem, Greg, is that this woman’s approach epitomises the modus operandum of the climate change lobby. Like the Tobacco Control fanatics, they lack empirical, demonstrable evidence, so they rely on ad hominem attack, bluster, hyperbole, manipulated statistics and coercion to further their agenda. Most thinking people instinctively reject this approach unless they have fallen under the spell of the relentless (and amply funded) propaganda machine that is employed by both these lobby groups.
Ms Bennett is just another one of the mouthpieces spouting the now familiar authoritarian garbage.
Dogma will always win over pragma. QED. Wish it were otherwise. Our position would be redundant if it were. These are the times that our voices need to be heard. Shout, whisper or speak up, do it.
There are some interesting graphs about rainfall in the South West of England here:
