“We” Are Not

Ah, once again, the Royal “we“.

British society, its political class and community leaders must share the blame for the “jihad generation” of young men and women joining the Islamic State terrorist organisation, a former senior Muslim Army officer says today.

Bollocks on stilts. If someone decides to subscribe  to Jihad, there is only one person to blame – them and them alone. No one else; not society not politicians, not anyone, just them for they have made the decision, they have acted upon it and they alone must bear the responsibility for whatever follows, so keep your “we” to yourself.

Mr Amin, 39, the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Dudley North, also calls for troops on the ground in Iraq to combat the escalating threat from Islamic State (IS), arguing that the British Army, with years of experience in counter-insurgency in the Middle East, has the capability to defeat them.

No. Absolutely not. It ain’t our fight and we shouldn’t get involved. If they attack us, then visit hell-fire and damnation on them, but  until then, nothing to do with us.

I’ve just returned from the Somme – do none of these fuckers ever learn from history?

      • India sent about 1.2 million men to fight, they came from all religions. Then, of course, there were those who fought with Lawrence of Arabia.

The contribution of Muslims was even greater in the Second World War with Arabs fighting with the Free French and about half a million Indian Muslims fighting with the British Army as well as Muslims from various other countries, including Palestinians.

        • They also fought on the other side during WW2. Some of the Balkan states sided with the Axis. In the first war, there were the Ottomans, of course.

          • I’m not an apologist for Islam, quite the opposite, I despise it as an ignorant, Medieval cult, some of my previous posts refer to PedoMo, however, credit where credit is due, a lot of Muslims fought and died for the good guys in both World Wars in contrast to what Stephen is inferring. At the time of the Second World War, the only Balkan state with a Muslim majority was Albania and there is evidence that the Jewish population actually increased during the war.

What this all suggests is that the Islamic religion has regressed in the post war years to become less tolerant, more violent, more barbaric, less respectful of the rights of others and an enemy rather than supporter of freedom.

          • The Albanians provided a Waffen SS division.

What we are seeing now is a cancerous spread of Wahhabism that comes from and is sponsored by a supposed ally – Saudi Arabia. But no one really wants to confront that.

  1. Since, from all I understand, Saudi Arabia is at the root of all the Sunni jihad trouble in Iraq and Syria then they should be pressed to the point of economic destruction to undo all they have wrought. It can’t be for want of miltary kit since we’ve sold them enough over the years to wipe out all the jihadis and while they’re at it they might be required to stop all the Wahabi proselytising of Moslems here. It shouldn’t be too hard to freeze all their assets and expose the utter corruption of the Saudi monarchy. Too much to hope for I fear.

    • Only if you want to quadruple oil prices over night I’m afraid. The Americans are more than willing and capable of dropping a world of hurt on such people, but the spice must flow, so they can’t do anything substantial without doing a lot of harm to themselves as well.

I’m afraid this is a problem that won’t go away until the world has a technology that can get us away from needing so much oil and is cheap. Then we can ‘lose’ Saudi’s oil-wells without causing a massive price shock.

  2. British political leaders imported great numbers of people hostile to Britain – and , as well, who had no intention if becoming british. Then the leaders elbowed the British to one side and created fertile grounds for their replacements.
    So what did you expect.
The leaders have achieved what Napoleon , the Spanish and Hitler could not.

      • It might be a civil war at the moment – extreme Sunni vs just-about-any-other-branch of-anything – but if they achieve their desired Caliphate, then their thoughts will be free to be concentrated upon the imposition of a global Caliphate. This is already their stated goal and a degree of ‘forewarned-is-forearmed’ awareness on our part might not go amiss; neither would a realistic plan to nip this in the bud, to coin a phrase.

      • Nothing to do with us, eh? I can’t seem to recall the film, but the quote goes something like this:

“Black magic? Pah! I don’t believe in the Devil!”

“You should. He believes in you…”
