Would it have happened to a man?
Throughout the events of the last few days, I’ve wondered if Labour MPs would be so happy to override Harman if she weren’t a woman. It seems likely that loyalty to a man would be stronger.
So, there wasn’t a rebellion over bombing Syria, then? And didn’t John Major have difficulty managing his backbench MPs? or have we forgotten and it is all some patriarchal conspiracy?
Have you ever seen a male leader so undermined?
Yes. See above.
And even when it became clear that Ed Miliband’s unpopularity could lose Labour the election, loyalty remained paramount.
The key word here is “election” and they stood to lose their jobs. Funny, that.
So, the usual radfem bollocks, then.
What else do you expect from the ‘arrested development adolescents’ at The Guardian?
I can honestly say that Harman has never impressed me – and the results of the last few weeks have just underlined my view that she’s just not up to the job
