Nor do they proof read anything.

Of course the insect expect is relevant – he’s an expect on spiders’ lunches.
I think that they do it on purpose in order to get lots of people to comment. Ambush Predator has picked up on stories about lions that are illustrated with a picture of a tiger, or it might have been a leopard. It isn’t possible to believe that the picture editor doesn’t know the difference. Not knowing the difference between an insect and an arachnid is a bit more believable I suppose. If it was a genuine mistake though, why would anyone look to such complete imbeciles for information about anything?
