Some good news. Some awful news. My insurance company has agreed a settlement on the bike merely a week after it went missing. As they are offering a thousand pounds above the valuation the dealer gave me, I’ve accepted. Later this year, I’ll replace my beloved RT with another one.
Yesterday, Mrs L was diagnosed with cancer. We are in shock and I’m not inclined to be blogging over much at the moment. So I have nothing to add to the Manchester tragedy.
Sorry to hear about your missus. Good luck on that front.
Best wishes for the Boss. Have been there myself (she’s currently in remission)and it’s a worrying time for all. You will soon find out who are your true friends. Take care, both of you.
Thinking of you both.
Sorry to hear about Mrs L. The earlier the diagnosis the better chance of recovery, here’s hoping they caught it in time
Sorry mate.
Sorry to hear about Mrs L.
Keep stong. Keep positive.
Ugh, that’s awful news! So sorry to hear it, but stay positive if you can. Thinking of you both.
Yes, very sorry to hear of Mrs. L’s illness and hope that they’ll be able to treat it well.
That truly sucks, Longrider. All the best to Mrs L. Sincerely hope they’ve caught it early and she responds well to treatment. Currently I’ve got my mum in remission about 10 years after she had breast cancer and a very good friend who is in remission about 5 years after stomach cancer so there is hope in this day and age.
Sorry to hear this – fingers crossed.
Thinking of you and Mrs L.
Look after her.
All the best to Mrs L and yourself.
There are a good number of well-informed answers to questions about various types of chemo/radiation therapy and their effects over on Quora.com
Very sorry to hear the bad news. However, where there is life, there is hope, especially these days.
Sorry to hear about Mrs L. Wishing you both the best of luck.
Our attitude – from bitter experience – is that positive thought is an excellent medication.
I know how you’re feeling right now. Good luck to you both.
Best wishes.
Sorry to hear about Mrs L. Hopefully they caught it early enough. All the best to you both.
Thankyou all. We are still at the waiting stage of things…
The waiting is definitely the worst part, everything seems to take so long, tests and results take time and it’s very hard until you know exactly what you are dealing with.
It’s driving me crazy. I’m not sleeping too well.
I’m sorry to hear about Mrs L – hope things go well.
God bless you both.
Sorry to hear the bad news about your wife, as a seven year survivor I know exactly what a shock it is. Early diagnosis is the key and I hope Mrs. L was caught early. Learn as much as you can and you will be able to ask all the right questions and the various options. Good luck.
What a terrible blow. Stay strong, the both of you.
Dear Mr Longrider
Sorry to learn about Mrs Longrider’s diagnosis.
I hope all goes well for you both.

Ah, you’ve put it up now. I can only reiterate what I said before – shellshocked and one can only hope.
Very sorry to hear this. Hope it turns out not as awful as it seems now.
All the best
Dear Longrider so sorry to hear about your wife. Best possible wishes.
Very, very sorry to hear and in my thoughts.
Fucking hellski—sorry to hear the latter item…
