Bookmakers refuse to apologise after posting picture of blacked up darts fan dressed up as Diane Abbott

What is happening here? Is the worm turning?

The bookmakers then courted further controversy when they replied to Ms Creasy: “This wasn’t some guerrilla marketing stunt Stella, one of our team attended on a social night out. We thought it was a very impressive attempt at fancy dress and merely shared it with our followers. Please stop taking things so seriously.”

Good Lord! Finally a robust refusal to apologise to the offendatrons.

    • People have been saying that for a long time, but they’ve been beaten down by the politically correct bansturbators.

      Ignoring them and just getting on with (and enjoying) life is the only approach that these miserable swine understand.

  3. Many politicians would give their eye teeth for someone to dress up as them and be instantly recognizable (and I think that in the past a smart politician would have used it as an opportunity to laugh at it with a quip).

    • Indeed. Also, being a politician means accepting that lampooning comes with the territory. Although on this occasions, it seems people were taking offence of behalf of Abbott. She seems not to have made any comment. I also note that comments below the line – almost without exception in support of not apologising – have been removed

  4. To be honest I’m surprised Ms Creasy hasn’t been on the phone complainning to the BBC about Planet Earth II… I mean all those whales must have been really offensive…

    Diane Abbott is most certainly fat, she is undeniably black, her family and fellow back ends of a cow may not think she is ugly, but she is, and she’s a right bitch.

    • Undoubtedly Diane Abbott is all of those things and more besides, but the modern art of SJW Right Think is to completely ignore reality and simply take the one dimensional SJW viewpoint that since she is a female *POC that the only lense she can be viewed through is that of a victim of racism and misogyny, through this lens all negative aspects of the specific individual are invisible.

  6. Here is another example of an apology to the Offendatrons. The apology was forthcoming but the little poll was very much of the opinion that it should not have been. It was quite obviously a case of idiots simply inventing racism that simply wasn’t there. Some said that the wording could have been better chosen. There was a time when I would have agreed with this but I now think that tip toeing around the wickle hurt feelings of the offendatrons is a waste of effort.

  8. When I attend the Stilton cheese rolling in the village of Stilton (every year) queer folk ways are on hand, such as the Black Mollies troop of Morris dancers. They wear black and white costumes and use black face. They are a popular ‘turn’. No-one makes disparaging talk about them regarding this. It’s traditional.
