Vile, authoritarian arsehole Tom Watson is worried about Nigel Farage.
Labour cannot beat Nigel Farage at the upcoming European elections if it ‘sits on the fence’ on Brexit, the party’s deputy leader has warned.
If the YouGov polls are anything to go by – and, yes, caveat pollsters and all that – but there does seem to be a trend, the two big parties will both suffer losses to Nigel and his new Brexit Party and good luck to him. It’s what is needed. A massive upset of earthquake proportions to drive it home to these people that they have betrayed the electorate. If Farage can pull it off, that’s a good thing.
Citing a YouGov survey carried out last week, Mr Watson said Labour would cut Mr Farage’s tentative polling lead by backing a second referendum or People’s Vote.
I don’t think so. The people who want a second – or is that third – vote aren’t going to vote for Farage, so, er, it looks as if those of us who have watched the treasonous creatures on the green benches doing their utmost to scuttle the outcome of a democratic vote have decided to give the bastards a bloody nose at the ballot box. Not that I expect any introspection to occur, mind.
The whole idea of a second referendum is completely absurd. Where is the point of having even one referendum if you are going to ignore the result if you don’t like it? Once the result of the first one has been ignored, what is the point of voting in the second? If the second referendum comes up with the wrong answer again we will presumably have to have a third.
Of course what we will really get is a referendum without any wrong answers on the ballot.
It comes as no surprise that Watson has described the Brexit Party as the “Far Right”. He’s not doing very well is he? fancy labelling 5 million Labour supporters who voted leave as “far right”. Do these people never engage what passes for a brain before operating the gash under their nose.
Watson is, as they say north of Watford Gap “a bit metropolitan”.
Watson as often the case completely misses the point. During the last two years all the Westminster parties, having approved Article 50, have now shuffled their feet into a corner of their own arrogance.
– The Tories are arguing the toss, are divided on the subject, and have given up delivering Brexit.
– Labour say they will respect the referendum, as they all secretly squirrill away to undermine and reverse the decision any way they can.
– The SNP see it as another segway to defeat that *other* referendum that they lost.
– Plaid Cmryu are against Brexit even though the Welsh voted to leave.
– The DUP tell everyone they respect the deal, before bringing all their sectarian bullshit into it and wrecking the deal any way they can.
– The Greens, LibDems and TIGs are all fight for Remain.
… So as a voter who voted to leave 3 years ago, faced with that lot, who the f**k am I supposed to vote for to get what I and the 52% voted for except Farage? What other option is available to us?
If not, I’d adjust by -3 for Lab & -1 Con and +2 Brexit & +2 UKIP
Where we are
It starts with screeching Lefties calling us Nazis… It ends in a police state
Eventually the electors have had enough of Gov’t favouring Socialist minority and rebel
‘Our party’s dead. Brexit’s killing us on the doorsteps’: 40% of Tory councillors back Nigel Farage’s new party as devastating poll shows scale of rebellion and Three Quarters want Theresa May to resign
@LR et al
Happy Easter
The alternative would be for Labour to commit to honour the first referendum result and deliver a managed no deal Brexit.
At this point Labour, Lib Dems and the Tories are so short on credibility, that none of their promises matter at all…..
Nigel has good ol’ British spite on his side……
I’m inclined to agree. The main parties have used up all their credibility with both sides of the debate.
Just goes to show that they have learnt nothing. Just hope that there are not enough dozy voters to keep them in place.
The ‘Stop Brexit’ circus must be run out of town”
Sadly, all too true. Great Britain – a parody country laughed at by all & sundry.
So bad NI may leave UK and become a Crown Dependency.
