So now, democracy means that white guys can’t stand in elections. Well, at least according to Justin Webb.
BBC Today presenter Justin Webb suggested Rory Stewart should not stand for London mayor because he is a white man and an Old Etonian.
The ex-Tory cabinet minister, 46, appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme to discuss his mayoral campaign.
However Today presenter Justin Webb, 58, argued that Mr Stewart standing in the mayoral race was not ‘really 2020’.
Mr Stewart is up against Conservative Party candidate Shaun Bailey and member of the Labour Party Sadiq Khan.
And this is wrong, because?
Mr Webb said: ‘You mention that you are proud of the diversity of the mayoral race in London, you are a white guy and Old Etonian – it’s not really 2020 is it, really, to be challenging a black man who is the conservative candidate and the Muslim mayor.’
Because, apparently, it’s racist or something or goes against diversity if a white guy puts himself forward in a democratic race – because his opponents aren’t white guys.
All this tells me is that Justin Webb has been completely indoctrinated into the racist anti-white, anti-male progressiveness that infests the BBC.
Time to do away with the license fee.
Justin Webb needs to open his eyes and have a look at BBC TV. All the white people are being replaced by black men or women. His time is coming for the dole queue.
Given his attitude, it can’t come quickly enough. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Yes, if he ended up getting fired in the name of diversity that would be really funny. Meanwhile sane people say let’s elect the best person for the job while paying no regard to what they look like.
Is he even allowed to say “black guy”?
Both terms have been decreed as not acceptable.
Surely adding some white people to London would add some diversity?
But who in their right mind would be added willingly?
Good point. It could solve the prison crisis: “Norman Stanley Fletcher – having been found guilty of crimes committed, you will not be sent to prison, but will be moved to the Mandela Estate in Tower Hamlets for four years… or for the rest of your natural life, whichever comes sooner. May God have mercy on your soul.”
Not to some.
