As most of you know, I contribute to Leggy’s anthologies. I also write novels. Three published so far and one in the wings.
Having penned another twenty-two short stories, I decided to present my own work in its own anthology, planned for release in November as soon as Leggy has completed everything on the Underdog Anthology. As I write, I believe that the uploading is all done now.
So, here is my own collection to follow on from Blackjack released a couple of years ago. A Moment in Time.
It’s the usual eclectic mix of supernatural, crime, history/western and time/sci-fi. All with a dash of my own somewhat odd humour.
This collection has a number of stories featuring Death as he struggles with new technology and the modern world and the peculiar ways of man. He also tries his hand at different tasks with mixed success. We also see his colleagues War, Pestilence and Famine making an appearance.
In other tales, we meet Muireann O’Connor as she takes on the ghosts of Barbary pirates, an assassin who stalks his targets through time, a ghost pub stuck in Easter 1916 and an asteroid that threatens to destroy life on Earth.
Some old characters make a reappearance. There is a new Morning Cloud story set just prior to the original one, Myffanwy rides out on her dragon again and once more Pascale Hervé ponders the effects of time on our lives and impending retirement, loss and grief.
Any stories about Martial Law in UK, or was that too fanciful?
This is all now taking a very sinister turn – Army on The Streets in Birmingham
They wont stop the testing because its the only way to keep the fear going and to introduce More draconian measures the Virus is not scary it’s the Government that’s scary
Tyranny
Not directly. There are a couple of Covid related stories, but they are mostly piss takes of the hysterical response. When I wrote them, thus hadn’t happened.
Plenty for new stories then
