Panic, Panic, Panic

We’re all going to dieeeeee!

‘We’re on a knife edge’: SAGE experts call for June 21 Freedom Day to be delayed ‘by a few weeks’ and warn a third wave has ALREADY begun with vaccines giving people a ‘false sense of security’

I’ve long since come to the conclusion that SAGE and expert are not two words that belong in the same sentence. Of course, we could see this coming. Are deaths rising exponentially? Nope. Therefore, there is nothing to worry about. This virus is behaving predictably, following evolutionary pressure to become more contagious but less virulent, but eh charlatans in SAGE, having had a taste of power are reluctant to let it go.

The vaccines rollout was supposed to be a golden bullet. So they don’t work then?

Heads on spikes time.

  1. I was expecting this, but of course the vaccine also works against this Indian mutation. there is no need for any delay nor should we accept this stupid and unnecessary idea.

  2. I read that there are no actual doctors on SAGE, that they’re all ignorant do-goody bludgers that you find on every quango. Long past time for that bonfire.

  3. If a third ‘wave’ is imminent I’d like to know when there was a second. I recall an unpleasant outbreak of illness beginning at the end of the winter last year, and a predictable resurgence of respiratory illness in the following autumn/winter. The linguistic trickery has been ever-present and has evidently fooled many. The figure of 128,000 deaths allegedly from Covid-19 is a conflation of two discrete disease seasons is another example.

    • So far the outbreaks have been fairly predictable seasonal respiratory virus spikes that happen every year. The excast virus may vary, but the seasons have been precisely as expected. And, yes, the disingenuous rolling of two bad flu seasons into one to give a scary figure didn’t go unnoticed in these parts. Likewise the scary long covid, which is post viral syndrome by any other name.

  4. We are on a beach.
    The harbour wave has passed.
Now there is an infinite number of waves lapping at our feet.
Strangely enough, I am not frightened of being overwhelmed by them.
