Idiot

I’ve read some moronic idiocy in my time, but

Failure to adequately fund the NHS is an electoral disaster waiting to happen

Every single government since its inception has pissed ever more money away on the NHS. Money is not the problem. It does not suffer from lack of money. It is more than adequately funded.

What it needs is to be torn down, razed to the ground, its ashes cast upon the four winds and the earth upon which it stood salted.

Then, perhaps, we can have a sensible discussion about how an effective health system should work and be funded. The sheer dribbling idiocy in the comments to the piece tell us that this will be an uphill struggle.

  1. No time to think about that, too busy standing on the door-steps clapping the incompetent death-camp operators.

  2. Have you seen those screenshots of the job adverts for well paid diversity coordinators? How many of these do you suppose the NHS employs nationally? There is a massive saving just there.

  3. My thought is that we need some kind of safety net for people who are too skint to afford even the most basic health insurance and for people who have the kind of chronic illness that insurers would obviously not touch. The comparison with the cost of keeping your car fixed was relevant. For some people running a car is pretty essential but no one would suggest that there should be a national car fixing service.
