It would seem that Russia has the same problem with journalism as we do…
It applauds Russian President Vladimir Putin for solving the Ukraine “problem”, saying that “Ukraine has returned to Russia” through military action. It suggests the author anticipated a rapid victory and the piece was published prematurely.
Just a tad… Oh dear.
Reminds me of the German(?) newspaper that printed a headline congratulating Hillary on winning the 2016 presidential election. 🙂
Our own famous one on the States’ side of the pond was in 1948 when the victorious just-elected president Truman was able to splash all the country’s splashy new “Television things” with images of him holding up one of our big papers in the air with the huge headline, “Dewey Defeats Truman!” LOL!

Kettle, meet pot. I mean, the Beeb is a bastion of honesty and transparency, right?
In this other piece, their lips must be sore from kissing Zalensky’s ass.

Yeah, when the West does it, its called liberation, when anyone else does it, its barbaric.
I was making pretty much that point – that they are all at it. Pravda doesn’t exactly have an illustrious track record.
Yes I was agreeing with you but I feel the sarcasm in my post may have drowned that out. Forgive me, the sarcasm is just an outlet for the seething anger I feel at the mass hypocrisy, from both sides of the coin. The mainstream media has grown over the years to the point where it can influence governments and world outcomes. Our own media proves this with the fear ridden covid campaign over the last two years.
I don’t think it matters whether people think Putin will win or lose this. Personally I think he achieved his objectives within the first couple of days. This, for example is a biggie:

Propaganda ain’t new. The posters showing German soldiers as gorillas in 1914 had an effect.
