Well, why not?
Rishi Sunak has entered the race to be the next leader of the Conservative Party and prime minister.
The former chancellor is the most high profile figure so far to announce his candidacy.
After all, he was the one who pissed all our money away this past couple of years. Yes, I am being sarcastic. No, I am not enthusiastic at the prospect.
Who will be next, I wonder?
…while former Brexit minister Steve Baker has signalled he will mount a challenge.
Ah, now, that could be a bit more interesting.

Video was made days/weeks ago. It’s like a Labour party political broadcast
Baker has admitted he has no chance, a woke remainer will be installed. Wallace is being touted, but he’s as bad as rest and signed up to green & woke
Those that ousted Johnson will regret it, but we the people will pay the price

If Baker’s resigned to a non-conservative winning, what’s he doing staying in the party? I get the argument that you try to change it from within, but if you know that you can’t to the extent of admitting defeat before the contest has even started, then what’s the point? Isn’t that the recognition that we came to with the EU, that it was beyond reform?
Yup, time for good men to recognise that this ship is holed below the waterline and to get out. Some things simply cannot be reformed from the inside.
