Sir Bob gives us a little light entertainment.
This Morning viewers were left furious after Sir Bob Geldof repeatedly misgendered Sam Smith on Wednesday.
Band Aid hero Bob, 71, infuriated viewers as he continued to refer to the the non-binary singer as ‘he’.
I can’t stand either of these two, but kudos to saint Geldof on sticking to his guns and correctly referring to the egregious Smith as he. Because that it what he is. A bloke – an incredibly annoying bloke who does an irritating permanent caricature of John Inman, but a bloke nonetheless and the correct pronouns in English for a bloke are indeed, he and him.
Elsewhere, others found fault in the fact that Bob was not corrected by hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield for his mistake.

Never did like Sir Bob – always considered him a foul mouthed lout – but he’s gone right up in my books. Good for him.
Listening to the clip I don’t think Bob did this on purpose, so no kudos due really – just a bloke talking about a time with another bloke.
Also, as this event was in the past – possibly before Sam jumped on the non binary bandwagon – is it correct to refer to him as ‘him’, or do all historical refences need to be updated to the new fairytale language?
I would have used the term Fuckwit. It is gender neutral.
Who were the “furious” viewers I wonder? I’m prepared to bet that it was less than one per cent of the audience.
