Never heard of it.
Fans have said they are ‘totally devastated’ after the BBC axed a popular comedy show after just three series.
Ah, okay, as you were. The Beeb hasn’t made decent comedy for years. I did sit through the excruciating Witchfinder in the vain hope that it might improve. Spoiler alert, it didn’t. And, no, villages in civil war England were not full of black people. I suppose given my steady divorce from television, it’s not suspiring that I’ve not heard of this one and I doubt I’ve missed much. But devastated? Really? Get a grip.
The Tuckers, starring the show’s creator Steve Speirs and Fresh Meat’s Kimberley Nixon, has been axed to make way for ‘brand new comedy series’.
One to avoid, I expect.
the Fast Show was probably the last BBC comedy I watched. Not heard of this new show? Nope, not heard of the actors either
I caught a bit of a so-called comedy called ‘The Cleaner’ flicking channels the other day.
Dire.
I haven’t listened to it for quite a while but the six thirty comedy slot on Radio 4 had some gems on from time to time. Old Harry’s Game was a long running favourite, Cabin Pressure was consistently funny, and there were a few others.
I don’t think anything could beat ISIHAC. I wonder if it’s still running.
ISIHAC?
Excuse my ignorance. I’ve not watched TV for a very long time.
Radio 4 plus on the internet is good.
As is Talking Pictures on telly.
And the Youtube gems.
ISIHAC – I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue. Programme on the wireless.
I don’t watch anything with blacks in it if they weren’t there historically. Consequently i don’t watch much on the BBC.
Pretty much. If it is contemporary fiction, well, I can just about tolerate the over exposure of ethnic minorities, but as soon as they are shoehorned into historical fiction, forget it, I’m not watching.
