It Snow Joke

Well, yes it is, actually.

Millions of Brits are set to shiver when the mercury drops in the coming days, with a new map showing exactly where we can expect the worst of the early flurries.

Temperatures have taken a nosedive in recent weeks, with lows of single figures across the UK causing people to pull on their coats. Next week, people can expect the first snowfalls of the season as winter begins to take grip.

A few months back these same people were regaling us about the heatwave that never happened. It’s winter. We might get a bit of snow, but likely as not, the other side of Christmas like usual. Move along, nothing to see here.

  1. Are they also counting the pensioners that freeze to death over the Winter too? They could do it like a Church Hall charity drive, and have a thermometer with the current total… no, hang on…

    • No, why not? Labour predicted 4,000 winter deaths if the Tories binned the Winter Fuel Payment, so there is your target. See how the oldies perform on Labours new metric of “Freezing OAP’s to Death” Winter 2024.

  2. This “news” is, of course, a product of their cutting edge computer systems being fed the contents of their fabulously accurate data banks. Need I mention that these meteorological marvels are powered by OUR taxes?

  3. “Temperatures have taken a nosedive in recent weeks…”

I can’t say that I’ve noticed. Here in East Yorkshire it’s been pretty mild for November. I was more expecting a story about such warm weather in November being unprecedented and that we’re all going to die of mild weather. What a total non story, winter colder than summer say experts.

  4. Looking at the weather for today vs the next week we’re currently seeing a high of 12C and low of 6C which is pretty mild for Perth (Scotland) in November.

A drop on Thursday to high of 4C and low of -2C is hardly unusual or unexpected. It’s Autumn.

The Bad Orange Man is right.

    Warble Gloaming is a hoax.
