We Apologise for the Inconvenience

Ministers have apologised to those unfortunates who had their personal financial details bandied about by the incompetent department for work and pensions:

Ministers have apologised for a mix-up which led to bank and personal details of thousands of pensioners being sent to the wrong addresses.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) said it would try to trace all of those affected – as many as 26,000.

The Pensions Service chief executive has said banks are being warned and that no-one will lose out financially.

Oh, really? Well, that’s a relief. They’ve apologised and no one will lose out. So that’s okay then, and all’s well with the world.

Ahem…

Just remember that these are the fuckwits who want us to provide them with 51 registrable facts about ourselves along with biometric information and entrust them with it. If you want to increase your exposure to the risk of identity fraud; giving government departments sensitive information about yourself is a damn fine way to start going about it.
