Self Service Bikes

Well, there’s a jolly fine idea:

As France celebrates Bastille Day and the cycling elite battle it out in the Tour de France, Paris is poised to launch its own “vélorution” – the world’s largest self-service bike system.

From tomorrow onwards, Parisians and tourists alike will have more than 10,600 bicycles at their disposal, placed in 750 self-service stations across the city.

Simple and, one hopes, effective.
