The petition seeking the prime mentalist’s resignation is, according to Aunty, the top Number 10 petition:
A call for Prime Minister Gordon Brown to resign has become the best supported petition on the Downing Street website.
The petition – started by Labour supporting academic Kalvis Jansons – has been backed by more than 38,000 people so far.
Oh, good. If it achieves nothing else, it lets this egocentric control freak know that at least some of us are not taken in by the bullshit, lies and temper tantrums.
Petitioners are promised a response from the government if they attract more than 200 signatures.
I wonder what that might be…
But Downing Street has not so far commented on whether it will provide a formal response to this petition.
Quelle surprise.
When tackled about it earlier this week, the prime minister’s official spokesman said Mr Brown was “focusing on addressing the needs of the people of the UK and in particular focusing on the big economic issues that we faced in response to the global economic downturn that we were having to deal with”.
Oh, jolly good. So resign then, and call an election so that we, the people, your employers may do what we have been wanting to do and have been denied the opportunity to do; sack the lot of you.
Go, damn you, and go now. That is the best thing you can do for the mess you have made.
It was only posted last Thursday, and it’s now up to nearly 45,000.
I doubt whether he’ll take any notice if it tops a million, though.
I still think it is worth a shot:

It made me feel better.
It’s up to 47,525 now. 100,000 soon. Then 500,000. A million? He still won’t take a blind – or half-blind – bit of notice. But its existence must be quite humiliating.
Have that petition at number 1 on Number 10 is certainly making a lot of people feel better. The frequent mentions in the press make all who sign it feel better.
So the PM gets feedback, which helps other MPs move him out.
Also, the blogs are full of why we are not happy.
48,000 now.
Excellent. it may not provoke a resignation, but is will make the bastard uncomfortable. Keep it up.
