  1. I would have thought that people would only order such a meal in order to share it.

I recall a time when I, along with a colleague used to stay in hotels and overhaul large pieces of industrial machinery. The best way to get the job done was to arrive on site early and then work non stop until the job was finished. So we would take full advantage of the hotel breakfast, stuffing ourselves with cereals, toast, grapefruits, the fry-up and lots of coffee. This would last us all the way through to the evening when we would have a three course meal washed down with lots of beer. That was years ago, must be a bit of a shock to the health fascists that I am still alive and kicking.

  2. I really liked the attitude of the Cafe owner – “If you clear the plate unassisted in an hour – you get your money back. We average two failures a day, but suspect today you will make it three…” and “Why is it called a Kids meal – because it weighs as much as a small child.”
