The World is not Enough

Well, for Apple, it would seem. Not content with their vindictive patent war with Samsung (and anyone else who might just happen to provide a competing product that looks vaguely similar), they want another bite at the cherry.

Apple is seeking an additional $707m (£436m) in damages from Samsung Electronics, after a US jury awarded the iPhone and iPad maker more than $1bn.

Anyone who has convinced themselves that this greedy corporate giant is one of the good guys is seriously deluding themselves.

Their products; over hyped and over expensive as they are; may well be okay –  if over expensive fashion accessories are your thing. The company’s behaviour, though, is typical of an organisation that has grown too big for its boots. Where Microsoft once trod, Jobs’ jobbie now walks. Nasty, nasty, nasty.

  1. Not that I would want to be seen supporting nasty, nasty, nasty but if you read the early history of Mac, they were blatantly ripped off, ( by Microsoft ) but a U.S. judge found against them, this set them back years, I doubt if the lifelong core members of Mac have ever forgotten this and now react to similar perceived threats vigorously. I appreciate the irony of where Microsoft once trod line, mind.

  2. It’s the arrogant hype & the rip-off prices that grate on me.

    Yeah.

  3. It’s such a pity they’re like this as the MacBookPro is a great machine. If only they could have been less aggressive but then they wouldn’t have produced the Mac otherwise I suppose.
