Back

Well, Malta was nice. The temperatures were in the mid-teens and we enjoyed a pleasant winter break. This was our second visit to the island and this time we hired a car rather than use the bus. Overall, I like Malta and will get back sometime. Maybe a summer trip. Do watch out for time-share touts, though. We nearly got caught when we stopped to ask directions at what we thought was a tourist information kiosk, but turned out to be nothing of the sort. They really, really wanted us to go look at the Radisson Blu resort and the hard sell completely took us by surprise as we’d not had this happen for years.

Anyway a few pictures.

We visited a classic car museum. What really struck me though, were the bikes. A  C11, which was my father’s first bike.

And this, oh, my word…

A C15. My first bike was a C15 bought as an old wreck in the summer of ’75. Yup, forty years ago and it seems like yesterday. It brought back some memories that did – mostly how horrible it was…

We visited the national aquarium.
