Apparently

I have a female brain.

Whodathuunkit? While these things are all a bit silly and no more than an amusing diversion, there are a couple of points – I scored female on all of the responses, and interestingly, they reiterate the idea that this is determined by hormone washes during gestation. Given my generally feminine appearance as well as my psychological make-up, a physiological explanation makes sense. The sweeping and ignorant statements made that we are mentally ill, just isn’t true.

  1. Don’t know how you worked out the results on that, LR! The thumb and index/ring-finger tests are quite clear (one of each for me), but their explanation of the “eyes” pictures doesn’t actually tell you anything – it doesn’t say what it means if you get it right, or if you get it wrong or, as in my case (again), one of each! How’d you work it out?

    • Apparently, I guessed the moods accurately on both of them. At least, that’s the explanation it gave me. The thumbs and index fingers point to female for me.

  2. Mmmm… Well, both the hand tests have me female. And the eye tests? Couldn’t read a mood in either of them. But, then, you can’t read moods in eyes. You only think you can. Anyone plays poker knows that.
So I just chose at random.
I’m pretty definitely male, though. Or so she’s always telling me.

    • Hence the humour tag… What interests me is the explanation for transgenderism. It makes sense. Much more so than the suggestion that we are mentally ill. I’m certainly not. I’m just out of step with my sex (as well as the rest of the world).

  3. Yeah, but if you always know where your keys are, and can put your hands on your glasses immediately, the female side of your brain ain’t dominant…

    🙂
