Red Ken and the Anti-Semitism Row

The anti-Semitism row that is currently engulfing Labour  comes  as no great surprise. Hatred of the Jews is a part of the  extreme leftist ideology. Okay, so the Nazis went one step further, but the Soviets were Jew haters as well and any discussion with the extreme left will, sooner or later, become littered with frothing-at-the-mouth Zionist conspiracy theories. See, it isn’t anti-Semitism at all – it’s anti-Zionism…

We have idiots such as Ken Livingstone comparing the Jews to their erstwhile persecutors, while ignoring the little fact that the nasty Islamic fundamentalists he cosies up to, are rather closer a comparison. As he and Gorgeous George Galloway attempt to justify the remarks as being historically accurate, they simply dig themselves deeper in. Not least, because historical accuracy and the comments have only a passing acquaintanceship.

The Israeli  Labor leadership has now waded in.

Mr Herzog added: “As someone whose father served in the British army and risked his life fighting against Hitler and the Nazis, the views expressed by Ken Livingstone, the former Mayor of London and member of Labour’s national executive, in which he claimed that Hitler ‘was supporting Zionism before he went mad and ended up killing six million Jews’ were particularly horrific, and unthinkable for a British politician and the 21st century.”

Well, yeah, but welcome to the successors of the Primrose Hill mob who would have been more than happy to indulge in mass murder given half a chance. Vile, anti-Semitic scum thrive in leftist politics. They hate Israel with the same vengeance as Israel’s neighbours. They do not believe that it should exist – hence their Nazi comparisons. That the comparison is even given headway shows just how little was learned a couple of generations ago. Ken may sound outrageous, but the is merely voicing what many of his fellow-travellers are thinking. The epitome of the tactless man.

Take a look at the map of the Middle East. You will see a range of Islamic shit-holes, ruled by primitive savages. In amongst it all, there is one functioning democracy. One small beacon of civilisation. Given the choice over barbarians or civilised men, I choose the civilised men (paraphrasing Ayn Rand). And, yes, I do acknowledge that Israel is far from perfect.

All that said, I am happy that this has happened. This is how free speech works. Some vile arsehole spouts his vile views and is roundly condemned. So much so that even his cohorts find him unpalatable and oust him from their ranks. Yup, that’s how it is supposed to work. We know Ken Livingstone for what he is, for he has told us so himself.

  1. Funny how Israel is the only country in the Middle East, to accept homosexuality, whilst the barbarians and cave dwellers of the left’s beloved Palestine et al are throwing gay men off of the top of buildings,

  2. Livingstone is an old red idiot. But he’s historically correct that the Nazi’s initial policy in power was to attempt to facilitate the emigration from Germany to Palestine of German Jews. This was the Haavara (transfer) agreement made between the Nazi regime and Zionist German Jews in 1933.

The policy of wholesale mass murder of Jews really commenced with the invasion of the USSR in 1941 when millions more Jews found themselves trapped in the territory of the 3rd Reich.

A woeful level of historical ignorance, even among so called historians, of this “Zionist” Nazi policy has been made very evident in the furor of the last few days.

    • Indeed. However, not only does he get his dates wrong, he was apparently claiming that Hitler supported Zionism in doing so, which is patently untrue.

  3. “Not least, because historical accuracy and the comments have only a passing acquaintanceship.”
I don’t understand your reasoning. If Red Ken uttered a verifiable historical fact, then the comments are accurate, not “acquainted” with accuracy. Try that defence in Court; “the speed camera’s results were accurate but have only a passing acquaintance with my speed, yer Honour”
The problem is not with the utterance itself but that some people don’t like hearing it, or are pretending not to.
Not Red Ken nor anybody else can reasonably be held responsible for people not liking a historical fact. I don’t like the man but he’s done nothing wrong. It’s a PC attack on freedom of speech; what the Left has sown, it now reaps. Heh.

    • He told BBC London: “When Hitler won his election in 1932, his policy then was that Jews should be moved to Israel. He was supporting Zionism before he went mad and ended up killing six million Jews.”

The Havaara agreement did not mean that Hitler supported Zionism. The policy dated from 1933, not 1932. Hitler did not win the 1932 election.

So, yeah, a kernel of truth, but somewhat muddied. Hence my passing acquaintanceship with the truth comment. That comment was, therefore, an accurate description.

Try that defence in Court; “the speed camera’s results were accurate but have only a passing acquaintance with my speed, yer Honour”

      Apples and oranges.

      • Fair enough, sir, it’s a fair cop. However the following portion of my post is still valid. Ken made a true statement but it was unwise because of the very climate of victimhood that his ilk have produced.

  4. Of course they’re a lone beacon in the locality.

The IDF uses its weapons to protect its people: HAMAS uses its people to protect its weapons.

  5. “Take a look at the map of the Middle East. You will see a range of Islamic shit-holes, ruled by primitive savages. In amongst it all, there is one functioning democracy.”

That’s what the Left really hate. Success.

    • “That’s what the Left really hate. Success”

Yeah, with my first in mathematics from Oxford, DPhil and six-figure salary, that’s what I really hate. My success.

      • Other people’s success, genius.

No one’s going to accuse the left of not looking out for themselves.

        • Indeed. Stephen gets today’s prize for wilfully missing the point being made – because the point being made was more than valid.

      • “First in mathematics from Oxford, DPhil and six-figure salary”

So a champagne socialist, then. Or hypocrite wanker, if you prefer.

  6. I stopped reading at this lie. “Ken Livingstone comparing the Jews to their erstwhile persecutors”. He did no such thing. I’ve just read a biography of Reinhard Heydrich, the architect of the Holocaust, and it’s matter of historical fact that Nazis tried to come to an accommodation with Zionist groups to facilitate the immigration of German Jews to Palestine. Eichmann was dispatched to Jerusalem in about 1937 to do this. It doesn’t stop Livingstone from being a total tool for mentioning this irrelevance in the interview and he deserves to be kicked out of the Labour Party for bringing it into disrepute.

Meanwhile Boris Johnson smirks about “pickannies” and half-Keynan Presidents (said by the half-Turk, irony, huh?) and Libertories and the media commend him for his delightful and refreshing political incorrectness.

    Meh

  7. Notice how the BBC is reporting on this.

They seem more concerned by how it might be damaging Labour, than how it reflects on the individual and their party.

Now imagine if this was a Tory or a UKIPer…
