Yeah, Right…

A humble office clerk, apparently.

Hundreds of mourners have today attended the funeral of an alleged drug dealer shot dead by police on a motorway sliproad.

Yassar Yaqub’s family claim he was ‘assassinated’ in a pre-planned ‘hit’ by West Yorkshire Police on the M62 outside Huddersfield on Monday evening.

The 28-year-old father-of-two’s funeral was held at the Masjid Bilal mosque and his mother Safia was visibly distraught and had to be physically supported by mourners as his body was taken to a cemetery for burial.

His death has sparked protests in West Yorkshire and his father Mohammed said he was the ‘perfect son’ and not a criminal – some friends wore hoodies with ‘Justice for Yassar’ printed on the front at the funeral.

Today an inquest into his death opened and heard he died from gunshot wounds to the chest and a handgun was found in the footwell of his Audi by police.

But associates of Mr Yaqub claim he was a feared drug dealer who had links to gun violence – Bradford Coroner’s Court heard today he called himself an office clerk.

It’s far too soon to be jumping to conclusions about what happened – whether plod was too ready to shoot and didn’t follow guidelines, or did. We just don’t know at this stage. We do, however, know that the “victim” was a known drug dealer who was carrying firearms when stopped.

As is usual, the usual suspects are out in force, claiming that he was a good boy really. Well, yeah, and the Kray twins loved their mum. They were still murdering psychopaths, though. While I am opposed to the death penalty, there are occasions when someone gets shot in this manner – Mark Duggan being another nasty scrote who met a timely end – when I think that perhaps we are all better off. After all, the taxpayer won’t have to fund a lengthy stay at one of her Majesty’s hotels.

As for justice being done, there is an argument that it has, indeed been done. The world is a better place without Yassar Yaqub in it.

Humble office clerk, fer cryin’ out loud!

Yesterday he father of a self-styled ‘Stud Badboy’ and alleged drugs kingpin said today the police shot dead his son in a ‘pre-planned assassination’ planned because they ‘didn’t like him’.

Yeah, of course they did. Nothing to do with the shootings, drug running and generally terrorising the neighbourhood, eh?

  1. What really grips my shit is that this behaviour is tolerated and even encouraged. The media are terrible for one sided reporting and help to stir up trouble in the aftermath and the authorities do little or nothing to put it down.
Just for once I would like to see a police chief go public and say something very similar to your words above, closely followed by the cops going into the inevitable riot with batons and pepper sprays and putting a very quick end to it to teach the entitled fuckers a lesson about law and order.

  2. In terms of freeing the world of Muslim, oxygen thieving scum, sadly it is only a very small step, there are a lot more of the criminal / terrorist bastards still out there.

Nor a lengthy and expensive trial with a possibly dubious outcome. Because Lamborghini notwithstanding, you can be sure he would have been awarded legal aid.

  4. Nice tight grouping by the Police Officer. No doubt that Officer will be thrown to the wolves if it becomes politically expedient. Funny though, all this false outrage because a piece of scum dealer gets slotted but none of them bang a triangle for their victims.

The world is a better place without Mohammed Yassar Yaqub in it.

  6. No tears shed for Yassar Yakub, seems like an unpleasant piece of work.

However I do not understand the police being so unforthcoming regarding the “rules of engagement” and whether these were adhered to.

Provided they can give a reasonable justification for the use of lethal force I’m happy, don’t want to see a witch hunt; but for the sake of living in a civilized society one would expect armed officers to open fire only when a threat to life/limb is clear, and a pistol on the floor of the car does not necessarily fall into that category.

Presumably if he was brandishing it or reaching for it we would have been told, so what is the basis for opening fire?

  7. ‘pre-planned assassination’

Can an assassination, or indeed anything, be post-planned?

Is ‘planned’ different to ‘pre-planned’ and how?

If I plan a trip to Paris what must I do to pre-plan a trip to Paris?
